You Don't Know My Name, Pt. 2
Original Air Date: August 10, 2010

This Girl by Cookin’ On Three Burners
A really fun indie song, The Dot has been spinning this kind of music and the kids are enjoying it (we think!). A very lighthearted scene.

Daylight Comes by 1977
Such an awkward moment. A light ditty by 1977 plays in the background, but it can’t play too loud, this moment is just too delightfully odd for everyone involved.

Good Lookin’ Country by Ridley Bent
More country fun, we nearly overdid it with Little Miss Steaks’ this season. Nearly. The country this season was a real blast to find and get into, let alone put up to picture. Listen to the song – then watch the scene. Hilarious.

Meant To Say by Chris Labelle
Another indie sound for The Dot – maybe it’s because it’s Peter’s shift. Chris Labelle is an Ottawa artist striving in Toronto.

Let’s Go There by Anna Sali
A tad bit of traveling music, this song sits really nicely over Holly J walking up the Above The Dot stairs. Something about the song and her moving up gives a great cloud-like feeling, like she’s marching up the stairs to happiness (even thought she’s going to break Sav’s heart…for now).

Now That You’re Mine by Lava Baby
This song sounds great pumping on the stereo, with kids dancing and moving and pumping along. We’d been trying to find a spot for this song, and when this came up we were pumped.

Anthem for the Young at Heart by Amber Pacific
Amber Pacific, yet another great Victory Records band, we just had to find a sweet spot for this song. We tried a few spots for it, but this was a favourtie.

Just The Way You Are by Keith and Renée
Keith and Renée are Degrassi favourites, their music has graced the halls once before. A sweet, kind, honest act, their music was perfect for Alli and Drew and was pitched on a last-minute whim. The end result was completely unexpected – in a magic-of-tv sort of way.
